King Edward VII School
King Edward VII School
Our School remains at the cutting edge of holistic education, year on year in our ethos, values and heritage. We pursue new technology, encourage creativity, engage with our communities, and share an entrepreneurial mindset.
While formal and informal aspects of our inter-personal, extra-mural activities teach lessons that cannot be learned in the classroom, we never lose sight of our primary function - sound education.
The School's loyal men have fought in many wars and won many military honours. Not all came home. The School has the highest number of fallen recorded from the two World Wars. Alumni have fought for freedom and democracy in South Africa and for justice throughout the world. All our alumni have a loyalty to their friends and schoolmates and a generosity toward each other that is unmatched.
Not all of the School's most successful alumni became leaders in commerce and industry, but the School equipped them with the confidence, morals, discipline, passion and courage to shape our modern world.
Over the past century, thousands of boys have passed through KES and out into the world as men, carrying with them the values and traditions that make our school truly exceptional.
We nurture young men to become confident leaders with strong moral values and integrity.
Our rigorous academic programme prepares boys for university and beyond with outstanding results.
Our comprehensive sports programme develops champions both on and off the field.
